Geothermal
The earth absorbs almost half of all solar energy and remains at a nearly constant temperature of 40 to 60 degrees F year round depending on geographic location. A geothermal system, consisting of a geothermal unit and a ground loop, utilizes this constant temperature to exchange energy between your home and the earth as needed for heating and cooling. The ground loop can be laid out horizontally, vertically, or at the bottom of a nearby pond or lake. Two water wells can also be used. The best application will depend on the characteristics of your property. Invest in Savings -- By installing a NextEnergy geothermal system, your monthly utility bills will be dramatically lower. Using the ground as its source of energy allows a NextEnergy system to operate using only a small amount of electricity. The unit merely transfers heat to and from the earth, rather than creating it from fossil fuels sources.
